Stanton & Killeen Vintage Port - most recent recent rele

Post by DJ »

Some one must know - what vintage was Staton & Killeen's most recent Vintage Port release? What time of year are they usually released?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

I have just consumed a 2000 but I think 2001 has been released at the cellar door.

Lincoln, I've beeen waiting for a tasting note on the 2000. Thinking about buying some. How good is it and does it worth the $30?

Cheers,

This price is for their VP club members only and I believe it retails now in 1/2 bottles for around $30, but I am not certain of this.

Last I heard the club had closed its membership as they could not keep up supply.

Living in Canada, I have never seen this wine. Out of curiosity, do they really call it Vintage Port? I thought there now were international laws preventing such confusions (Port is made in Portugal, period.)

I love the Muscat from this producer. 8)

Davo, I joined last September as they had just reopened the list (after 8 years of closure).
May be worth a call.

No need to call, I have been a member for a long time.

I was at the CD in July last year and there was talk of re-opening then. They are very good to their members. The price has not gone up by much in 10 years and they have not dropped the amount you could buy despite the demand.
