TN: Scotchmans Hill 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon

Decanted for about 30mins prior to drinking. Initially I found it to be rather closed, showing strong fruit, but somewhat unrecognisable. Then started to show off lovely black currants and blue berries. Showed some black olive characters, as well as a splash of soy sauce. Musk there as well. Palate is big on fruit, with the back palate having a touch of leafy vegetation and herbs. Tannins are chewy, and need to settle a touch. Should cellar for 5-7 more years. The oak, which was at the fore when first tasted (about 1 and a half years ago), has very much integrated.
