Shipping wine to Hong Kong

Post by andyc »

All,
I am moving to Hong Kong next week and am really struggling to find out who can ship my wine in a temp controlled environment. Does anyone know who wineries use to make these shipments? I am getting desperate as I'm currently getting the run around!
Thanks in advance.

How many bottles you are going to ship there? Are you prepare to pay the crazy wine import tax there?

I've heard that wine exports in Hong Kong are extremely pricey. I don't think that it is worthy since you can find international and excellent wine in Hk

80% taxation. Foolish policy IMO. Hong Kong could be the wine hub of Asia without it. Aswell as being able to market it's restaurant culture for tourism better.

China is worse in my experience. Shooting down the great white hope that it may be a dumping ground for thew Oz wine lake.
