Bottle was stored in car for 1 day in the Blue Mountains so may not be representative... nonetheless cork was not soaked, no wine leaked etc etc...

So this is the wine that was ranked very highly in the Sydney Royal Wine Show, behind the Paringa Shiraz...

Colour: Ruby red with purple tinges.
Nose: Plums, then with time become darker 0berry fruit, some savoury spicy components as well, some toasty oak.
Palate: Seemed like there was a hole and a bit watery, but plums, and now herby, dried, spicy fruit characters with time. The palate has also filled out with some time, very good length balanced by some good (but noticeable) oak.

I recommend a decant for this wine. It was good+ due to its length on the first day, now its definetely very good. Am drinking it with pasta with bolognaise, very good.

Cheers.

Retasted the remnants of the bottle today (So 3 days sitting on bench)

What really really sticks in my head is the length of this wine. Its phenomenally surprising once you get the wine into the right places, a very nice savoury touch on the side as well...

A very nice wine, glad I have another bottle. Decant!
