Them Bloody Nice Aussies

Post by Mike M »

I just got back from 3 weeks of business/pleasure in OZ and wanted to post a note of thanks to the blokes and blokettes that showed me such a good time while I was in the Adelaide area from 4th - 8th Nov. You guys really know how to treat a visitor well, and all the arrangements were great.

Steve, Gavin, Craig, Wicko, Mike, Leonie, other Blacktongues, and all the others whose names I have forgotten due to the red fog, you guys were terrific. Great people, great wines, generous with your time, a wonderful learning experience for the Yank! I have proudly worn my winemaker signed wine stained shirt - Kaesler '05 Old Bastard barrel sample on the front and the '04 W.O.M.S. first blend on the back. Surely the best souvenir from the trip.

I'm impatiently waiting for the shipment from Gavin to arrive. By the time it arrives here in January, will it clasify as an ice wine??? Just wondering....

If there are any "foreigners" heading toward Adelaide, you really should look these guys up. They know their stuff and can point you toward some fantastic wines and wineries. Take advantage of 'em - really, they don't mind at all and love to share their passion and knowledge. You guys rock!!!
