I'd really appreciate your opinion on when to drink the wines in my very small polystyrene 'cellar' kept in the most stable cold room in the house. There's only eight bottles and I want to make the most of them:) Here's what I've got.

1) Wynns Coonaworra Estate John Riddoch Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon 1992
2) Yarra Yering Underhill Shiraz 1996
3) Black Jack Block 6 Shiraz 2002

Five of them do have a winemaker's recommendation on the label or from the cellar door [shown in brackets] but I'm still interested in your opinions.

4) Veritas Binder's Bulls Blood Shiraz-Mataro "Pressings" 2003 [8-10 years]
5) Sally's Paddock (Redbank Winery) Cab Sauv, Shiraz, Cab Franc, Merlot 1999 [2018]
6) Freycinet Vineyard Pinot Noir 2000 [5-10 years]
7) Mitchelton Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1994 [10+ years]
8) Yarra Edge Single Vineyard Cab Sauv, Merlot, Malbec, Cab Franc 1996 [10 years]

Medusa,

Without getting a real feel for your cellaring conditions (which sound like my apartment here in NY), I would suggest these wines will mature sooner than you may have been led to believe. In the same order as your list:-

1. Now
2. Soon
3. Don't know this wine.
4. 2009
5. 2009
6. Now
7. Immediately !
8. Now

Just my two bob's worth ...

6. pass
7. Now

Mike & Brian, Thanks so much for your opinions. Looks like I might get to enjoy some of these sooner than I thought:)
