Might not be a type of wine thats popular on these forums but can anyone tell me who makes this variety.

I know Rockford do and have heard Grant Burge do a version?

I have had the Rockford and its one white i love. How can something start out so sweet {fruit NOT sugar} then end so dry.

Frontignac is one of the many synonyms for Muscat (specifically the Petits Grains variety) and as such is used extensively in Australia, mainly to make sweet liquer styles, Morris, Seppelt and many others.

From your question it appears you are refering to table wine and if I recall correctly there are a few wineries making this in Rutherglen - St Leonards, Stanton & Killeen? I'm sure I've come across it at other cellar doors too, possibly Peter Lehmann?

two hands make a lovely moscato out of frontignac, and by the sounds of it, you would love it - it's a table wine woth a very, very, very minor spritz.

pertaringa in mclaren vale do one too, called the Final Fronti.

both of these, and the rockford too, have a bit of sugar sweetness in them, as well as fruit sweetness, and for this style, there's nothing wrong with that.
