The place on the web to chat about wine, Australian wines, or any other wines for that matter

Wine Shows on the web

Post by darby »

Do any Auswiners know of a good online notification site for Aussie wine shows and events. The localwine events site http://www.localwineevents.com
seems unable to attract enough notices.

I would like to see a better notification site for these reasons,

I enjoy chatting to wine people and tasting wines without driving betweeen cellar doors.

I enjoy collecting the embossed/branded tasting glasses which are included in the entry price (even if this puts strains on the domestic relationship)

I think that wine marketing on the web is still grossly underdone and its time that event organisers realised that a good web strategy is more economical than glossy brochures and saves trees.

There are a few sites, but mostly out of date (Winepros, Winetitles). This one may be useful, it seems to be maintained, but doesn't yet have some shows, eg Sydney:

Life's too short to drink white wine and red wine is better for you too! :-)
