I know zilch about Sangiovese, except how to spell it. This is one helluva red wine. Deep red with a touch of purple plus an aroma and taste that is very, very enjoyable. I now poured half the bottle into a 375ml and drank the other half. It was gone before I realised it.
I was sorely tempted to open the second half, but resisted.
I strongly recommend those who like good, big reds to try one. I am glad I bought a case.

nice to see someone flying the flag of a upcoming variety. When Sangio is good it is captivating. Fruit can be boht rich and savoury, lovely colour and distinctively different to shiraz and cab. thanks for your review.
wine is alchemy and adventure
