It was well over 30 degrees in Sydney today and the bigots had lunch at Jordans at Darling Harbour, sitting outside in the sunshine. Brian drank beer, Andrea didnt much of anything and Marion and I had my annual bottle of NZ SB. :(

I thought I would post this before Brian threatned blackmail. :P :)

I had to cover my flowers yesterday because the temp dipped near freezing
I drank a Kurtz Boundary Row GSM '02 and still needed a sweater.
Go to hell ;)! :P

The last time I was at Jordons the food was pretty ordinary for the prices. But I do seem to remember that they had Kilikanoon Second Fiddle Grenache Rose on the menu. Surely that's a more appropriate cold drink for a RB.

So the question is, did you enjoy it?

There is a time and a place for everything.

Ah Ric, an SB once a year is ok, I've even been known to go that low myself!

If you have to multiply the Hail Mary's by the number of years since your last confession then you'll be saying an awful lot of Hail Mary's.

Kurtz Boundary Row GSM 2002, isn't that a great drink for a meesly amount of dollars.

How about a few bloody marys instead - to get the red pigment appreciation going again.

No Mark, you won't get me drinking Champers. I even had "another appointment" and had to miss the Blacktongues Champagne tasting.

The food was quite good this time I thought, pricing acceptable for the location etc., we were staying at the Novotel. The wine list is very ordinary and over-priced, no sparkling red. I may have considered a Rose, but I'd been coerced into trying one or two at WineOz by winemakers who may have been offended and not let me taste the good bottle under the counter if I declined... :-( So I'd had more than my quota for the weekend, the Coopers Sparkling Ale and James Squire Golden Ale hit the spot admirably.
