Petaluma Coonawarra 2001

Served in a blind this certainly is very tight at the moment. Vibrant purple in colour; the nose smells of blackcurrents and cassis together with a touch of cedary oak. The palate is very closed but full of fruit and tannin and whilst not in the blockbuster styles of John Riddoch, etc this wine is all class. Very good.
Petaluma would have to be one of the most consistent producers going around.
cheers
