Help with lever screwpull recommendation

Post by Mark L »

Hi
I was looking to buy a lever screwpull/cork remover for a friend as a present. Personally I like and use a dual hinged waiters friend.

However I was after a good quality one for a friend who would give it a fair bit of use. The original is just a bit too much over the budget for a present.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

I recently bought a copy from "Victorias Basement", a place that seems to sell excess stock. The box contained a screwpull copy with all metal gears. This is something the others do not have. Also had a very good foil cutter, bottle stopper and a spare screw.
This cost the princely sum of $18 and works much better than a "Pullit", also a copy without full metal gears, which cost considerably more.
