HoG - Screwtop!

Post by WineRick »

Was I dreaming or did I see the latest HoG sealed with a screw cap , and not LUX at that. I spoke to some friends who commented that Vinolok wasn't working. Is this true?

My understanding is that Vinolok is only used for the export market. Local versions are under screwcap.

Getting pricey too.

I stopped bidding at $600 or the 1990 HofG and somewhere past $400 for the 1992 HofG at an auction tonight.

I'm not putting my own HofG up for tastings anymore. Getting too valuable considering perfect provenance. So am after HofG for some Hong Kong events.

I bought a few bottles of 2012 Mt E at cellar door some years back and they were sealed with Vinolok.
