Can anyone shed some additional light on the Pressings? I've only been on the mailer a few years but don't recall them offering this before?

I can only go back the 1988 vintage, all Shiraz I believe with its distinctive orange label...absolute belter of a wine and by some quirk of fate have picked it blind on 4 occasions, must be part of my missing DNA.
1997 was a straight Malbec, denoted by a small typed Mb on the label. We had this at the Wendouree offline a couple of years back, and many present found it difficult to assess...at 20 years it was still purple/inky/black in colour!
I could be wrong and memory is fading over a long purchase history, but there may possibly be a third one.
I suspect due to the unique triple blend it will go like hotcakes.
Cheers Craig

Good memory Craig, cellar tracker has wines from: 2005, 1997, 1988, 1985, 1980 & 1977 listed
I suspect due to the wet spring / summer in 2017 they were able to make one in 2017.

My guess was the same in that there was an abundance of fruit in a lot of SA regions in 2017. A lot of fruit doesn't automatically equate to quality though. Does offer up the opportunity to experiment and produce some of the rarer beasts we don't often see. I'll be getting some Pressings. First time I've encountered it on the mailer (8th year) apart from the one Craig brought to the SA Wendouree offline a ways back. I dug out the note below...
Wendouree Pressings
1997, a very small M imprint on the label, so assumed to be a Malbec, and perhaps should have been grouped in the Malbec bracket. 2005 Pressings has no such notation on the label. This wine polarised the group, most felt there was no point of reference. The nose was quite muted, but palate incredibly long and quite acid driven. Disclosure, I brought this one along, and like others present, did not really know what to make of it. It almost felt a fraction porty, and certainly the odd man out tonight.
Make of that what you will but my memory of it aligns with Craigs note. Still happy to give the 2017 installment a go.

Any bottle limits for the pressings? Still haven’t received mine in Sydney yet.
Bought 2 bottles of the 2005 from auction around $50 few years ago, waiting for the right time to pop one.

Mixed dozen for me. I would like to get more but have to be realistic financially.
I skipped the Pressings as I tend to prefer more delicate reds these days and my perception is that this would be a bit too intense for my palate these days.
Does anyone have a view on the 17 and 18 vintages in Clare? 2018 is a birth year for me so will likely go for 24 bottles next year.

Plenty of information publicly out there on the vintages, you just need to exercise your own judgement. I think cabernet was better suited in 2017. 2018 should be a good across the board.
Just had a 2002, 2003 and 2004 cabernet tasting, 2002 was stunning now. 2004 has heaps of time on its side. 2003 looks awkward.

No ones credit card been hit yet?
I guess it's only been a week.
Out of interest I saw quite a bit (maybe 3 dozen in total) of the 2016 for sale on Langtons last night. Mixture of types.
Selling for about $90 to $100 with about 30 mins remaining

Us WA-ers missed out on the straight Shiraz last year, so hopefully we moved up the priority list this year
