Matt know it can be warm up your way, apparently like us here in town Clare has recorded its hottest temperature.
Adelaide reached 46.2 at 1: 30 today...hottest day ever recorded according to the BOM...hope those air-cons that I pay good money for are still doing the job in keeping my babies cool.

Cheers craig
Tomorrow will be a good day

I don't want to in any way appearing to be SA bashing, but SA has not not had an outstanding vintage for a number of years. The summer heat has negatively impacted on vintage in SA for several years.
Life is too short to drink rubbish wine.

It's not so much the summer heat that has been the problem the last few years, it has been the complete lack of rain (especially at crucial times). Add to that a bit of frost and hail at the wrong time...

This year was hot, but the heatwave was not especially long, especially compared to 2008 & 2009. Lack of water for the good part of three years now is a major problem - these are the vintages that perversely the younger irrigated vines cope with the conditions much better than the old dry grown vines.

It's not just grape vines that are struggling, the whole primary industries sector in SA is struggling and in desperate need of a good dumping of rain this autumn and winter... preferably without the frost and hail.
Forget about goodness and mercy, they're gone.

Yes the absence of good spring rains in 2018 is really showing now.
