What a great wine this is, smells sweet and savory with crushed fresh berries and alpine herbs. On the palate there is a bright acidity, medium weight and a glorious billow of zesty yet approachable tannin. There is a real wholesome and authentic tone - just a hint of natural wine complexity lurking underneath.
As good as Barbera gets. A wonderful alternative to his Langhe Nebbiolo while you wait for the Barbaresco to mature.
