I Custodi Pistus Etna Rosso 2014

New wine for me. It certainly smells like Etna. Palate is full of red fruits, mainly raspberry, spice, and some smokiness. The trade mark Etna tartness and a nice raspy tannin. The quality of the fruit is decent but perhaps a little too juicy and rich than your usual Etna’s which I believe could be a result of the warm year. None the less the quality is decent and it’s a wine I’ll keep a look out for in coming vintages.

A new name to me as well, though I always seem to be out of touch with what's new and exciting on Etna. Moving too fast for this old timer.
