Half time with the blues all over the maroons drinking 2 wonderful SA wines. A comparison between the 2010 and 2012 Rolf Binder Reserve Shiraz's. How this wine company can produce these wines for so little ($15) beggars my belief. For me the 2010 is more interesting to drink now - its a bit more complex, sharper fruit but the 2012 will probably eclipse it in a year or two. Wines that I'd be happy to pay more than double the price. Wish I had more room in the cellar.
Anyone drinking something else memorable?

Dad and I sorted out a bottle of Burke Street Pinot Noir 2012. Earthy yet fresh. Also great VFM. Pity the wrong team won!

A 2004 Pierro Reserve Cab Merlot went down a treat. Under cork so each one is a lottery but this one was stupendous after decanting for an hour
