Another scam

Post by bacchaebabe »

Just got this in my hotmail email. I get heaps of rubbish but this one actually made me look. Clearly just sending out to all and sundry from wine forums or other similar places. Beware...

Hello ,
I'm interested in ordering 24 bottles of 2002 Vintage Louis Reoderer Cristal Champagne (In Gift Boxes if available) for an event On May 29th but i need them on hand before then .Let me know how soon you can get them . I'll get back to you with the Credit Card information as soon as i get the total cost for the cases and will alert someone to come pickup the bottles as soon as the payment goes through .
Regards,
Kelis

Didn't Red post something similar a while back where he led them on? They were saying it was for a work function or something.

I've seen an almost identical scam from people who claim they want to buy your car. I led them on for a while before deciding I was wasting my time as much as theirs. There are people who are very clever at baiting scammers. I'm glad somebody does it but I couldn't be bothered. Alerting people to scams (e.g. this thread) is good public service. Thanks Kris.

Hi Kris et al,
I should not be wasting my time here. I should be going to collect my many multi million dollar wins in lotteries all over the world.
I think this is so amazing winning these lotteries, without even buying a ticket.
Now what to buy? An Aston Martin DB9 or one of those new battery powered Teslas 8) Why not both
How many wineries should I buy? Maybe one in each major region.
See the problems I now have that I have become so wealthy.
I had better get busy and fill out my winning claims.
Mike.
