Help With Wine in China

Post by Chuck »

We are heading to China for 3 weeks - Beijing, Yangshuo, Shanghai. SWMBO will be doing some serious retail therapy in Beijing and Shanghai so I'll be looking for alternatives. Are there any wineries or other wine related stuff in or near these places?

wineries in Beijing/Shanghai..... hmm.... don't think so.... locals drink beer/rice wine/or cheap imports or rich people drink 1st growth Bordeaux/XO/Cognac by glassful....
Relax.... In the end it's only grape juice with a twist

Shame you are not going through HKG.That's the bargain place.

I seriously suggest you take advantage of the tourist refund scheme and take 6 x great bottles out of Oz and get 30% money back.

I am in China now- Hangzhou- and sipping a great Rosso di Montalcino which I brought from Hong Kong.
