Hey everyone from Paris,
Whilst I recently have enjoyed the beautiful countryside of Burgundy, I am now in Paris and would like to sample some more of the country's wines.
I wondered where was best to buy some, preferably at a reasonable price! Anyone have any ideas?

Hope you are having a fantastic time.
When we were there last year, we visited only one wine store in Paris.
Lavinia, 3-5 bd de la Madeleine, 8th Arrondissement.
But it was a huge wine store! The basement had a huge array of French stuff in multiple vintages, and in larger formats too if that's your thing...
They also had a pay-for-taste system of about 30 wines from around the world. These included GC Burg and 1st growth Bordeaux.
The top floor was filled with every wine gadget/book imaginable, and housed a pretty smart wine bar/cafe.
Mind you, nothing in that shop was cheap.

Very envious; will be there in a couple of months myself. Last time we were there I wandered over to Caves Auge at 116 Boulevard Haussmann; very interesting and cluttered shop that had the Egly Ouriet Blanc de Noirs I was looking for. I'll definitely be heading back there next visit. I agree with monghead that Lavinia is interesting because it's huge, but that there's not a whole lot of value.

I second and third Lavinia, best wine-shopping I had last year. I disagree on the price issue though, I tasted some lovely Rhones at very good prices. It may get pricier as the scale rises, but the Bandols I bought will end up being bargains.
Interesting that the shop had outlets in all kinds of East Euro cities.
Best way to access fine wine today is to help the Governor General locate her wine cellar it would seem!
