Rose the next fashionable wine?
Beaujolais seems to be a faded fad. But the French are passionate to the point of violence about wine, according to this article. Chianti has never quite been rose and is now required, I believe, to comprise only red varieties, but:

Of course it could be a News Ltd beat-up just like those of Albrechtsen, interesting though.
Cheers

Wouldn't have thought so - in the manner of driver's/driving licence I imagine either is ok.

Well done Wayno. Certainly a pet peeve of mine too...
As an aside, could I add regimen/regime...
Monghead.
SNAP! Lot's of totalitarian health professionals around
Bartenders are supposed to have people skills. Or was it people are supposed to have bartending skills?
I am not sure what this discussion about totalitarians has to do with horses. Terrible case of thread drift.griff wrote:monghead wrote:Wayno wrote:or even decantering/decanting

Me neither really. Posted the link because of the controversy in France about "faux" rose. The violence is an extreme reaction but neither am I comfortable with the idea of a white varietal with a tint of red rather than red varietal juice pumped off skins early to moderate the resulting wines colouration.

Sorry Brad, your post wasn't up when I started composing my last on this thread. I don't often buy rose, the first vintage of Teusner Salsa being my latest purchase of the style though I did buy a few bottles each of a couple of vintages of Turkey Flat some years ago. Why I don't buy more rose is a mystery to even myself. The last couple of summers I've been on a cheap/ish chardy binge so next summer, for a change, if I find enough affordable, good roses around I may binge on them.
Max temp here is still in the high 20s.
Cheers
