When you say advanced, do you mean ready to drink now or just not aging well (ie. bad wines). I have no 2000s but I have 2001s.

FWIW - I have been given vibes of a 2006 Wendouree Shiraz tasted last night (I was not in attendance):
* 1st impressions after 30mins: "very soft tannins but forceful and plentiful. Lovely elegance. hint of menthol on nose. Lovely structure. very nice so far"
* After the night: "No one picked it as clare and no one remotely close to wendouree... Beautiful, restrained wine. Nose was surprisngly floral (violets?) and the palate fine, long and persistent with lovely mouthfeel. Very impressed! Shocked how approachable it was though already! WOTN for many of the tasters, and up against some very expensive wines!"

Um - I was quoting - and unclear if it means "advanced for Wendouree" but may still be very vigorous. Someone will have to try soem of these 2000s and 2001s.

I expect quality is fine but wines reflect hot vintages.

FWIW - Wendourees uncoil very slowly and a decant is vital

Well Ive been waiting now since the day the order form arrived. Ive rung them and were told they were behind with the orders and it would be a few weeks? This was 4 weeks or more ago.
I know people who have been ordering the same amount as me and as long as me and received theirs months ago and have the initials on their order form?

Getting tired of this and will purchase from the wineries that give me far better customer service.
Very dissappointed.

I just got the receipt in the mail for my shiraz, so I expect it later this week. So, Sydney siders, no need to worry..........

Sorry to hear your news Rednut. I am sympathetic with your frustration.

This surely makes the safe arrival of next years allocation all the more exciting. They are wines in high demand and in short supply - maybe it will be me who misses out next time. I think maybe there is an element of clever marketing in all of this - wether intentional or not!

Is any kind soul willing to part with a bottle of 04/05 Muscat of Alexandria. Need one for a tasting I am putting together.

You'll be well compensated with Rutherglen Muscat and/or Tokay.

Cheers,

Lennie

I just got the rejection letter as well.

The only thing that bothers me about it was that I when I called them two weeks ago, I was told that I would be getting 4 of the 6 shiraz that I asked for.

Disappointed.
