Yes it is. Established in 1858 and operated by the legendary Bill Chambers and his son Stephen, the 6th generation of this family to make wine at Rosewood. And it's .... sesquicentennial.

Given the age of the operation, I was surprised at the photo they use to promote the winery/vineyard, I expected to see a big, gnarly old bush vine?

Good point. I can still recall the first time I went there, probably around 1979/80, it was the old winery and Bill just pointed to a bench attached to the side of a shed (not enclosed), with a sink next to it as I recall. On the bench was everything he produced and a few plastic tasting cups (used I think), he said "help yourself", so with the winery dogs ... we did.
