Yeah, Soho is looking good. $15 per bottle is crazy. That's $30 or $45 per person, given our previous performances!

Just back from a great night at T-Chow including some speccy wines and only just got the belated bad news about the Swans.

Thanks Silkwood for your research but Greedy Goose is out for me with a BYO policy like that, got no idea what wine groups like ours want.

As initially, I favour Soho or The Sauce, guys that appeciate what we're about.

Unless there's any objections I'll take the lead and move to book us into one of those venues.

Over to you guys if you strongly object ......

I was having dinner round the corner from you at Ying, prior to the ASO plays Queen. Had a peep in at T, but didn't see anyone I knew.

Hello

Sorry folks, I have no time for organising it unforutunately.

I am a definite starter though if it proceeds, and Soho sounds like a great venue.

Chas (Shadrach) is a possible starter but does not return from holidays until next Tuesday, I'll check with him then!

Is someone able to do the organising?

I thought Steve (707) was going to do this? :?

It may pay to wait a day or so until he logs on to see if he's already done it.

CalledBradley from SOHO and he's going to get back to me, he's busy at the moment (busy in a restaurant on a Friday night, who would have thought?)

I'll mention the idea of a dessert instead of cheese platters and post a price comparison.

I've booked us in for SOHO. Also asked about pricing for dessert.

"Attached is the menu for your dinner.

I have given you 2 choices for the dessert, it just depends on what people will bring along - Ports or stickies. Just let me know which one you would like to go with.

As discussed, guests are to BYO glasses as well,
it really helps to keep the cost down. However as last time we will happily provide Sparkling glasses if required.

The cost this time around will come in at $55 per head including BYO.

The booking is in the book for the 29th, if you need anything, just let me know, I will check the forum from time to time, but if you could give us an idea a few days before of the numbers that would be great.

Looks excellent, well organised Mark. I don't have many stickies or ports to bring along so I will let the dessert question fall to others.

Are we sticking to the format of bringing something along which is interesting or a more organised flight of wines scheme?

Great work Mark - the different menu looks fantastic and adding the dessert instead of the shared cheese platters for just an extra $5 is perfect. Bradley & Peta certainly know how to look after us - well done SOHO! 8)

I think as before we can work around bringing along something interesting, while this menu and SOHO's layout does give us the opportunity to have something fairly organised in regard to flights. We've pretty much achieved this by accident in the past, so I think we should be able to do it this time too.

As for the desert choice, I'm flexible with either because I can bring a fortified or a sticky - I'd probably prefer the Quince Tart as it's winter and gives us the opportunity to finish off with a few Ports.
