Ok Year, Winery and Name of Wine are ....
Country - Australia
State - Western Australia
Region - Margaret River
Varietial - Cabernet (note: there is a small % of Malbec as well but this isn't stated on the main label).
Year - 2001
Winery - Woodlands
Name of Wine - Kevin
For an additional 1 point each, the reviewers were:
TASTING NOTE 1 - JAMES HALLIDAY (Australian Wine Companion 2005)
"Ripe, flooded with cassis/blackcurrant fruit. Excellent management of tannin and oak. Very good length".
TASTING NOTE 2 - HUON HOOKE (SMH - Good Living Finest Releases of 2005, 17/01/2006)
"Black olive, toasty barrel, black fruits of fabulous concentration and depth. Liberal tannins are refined and smooth, giving a seamless texture. It's great now and will reward further cellaring".
It was very tight, but congradulations to SueNZ for the guessing 4 categories of the mystery wine and correctly guessing both reveiwers. SueNZ finished with 13 points out of a possible 19. Picking Huon Hooke as the second reviewer seperated her from the pack and she managed to beat off Deejay by 1 point who unfortunately went with our friend Campbell as the second reviewer.
Thankyou for all those participating. I will have another "Google Proof" Guess the Wine thread next week.
FINAL LEADERBOARD FOR THE WEEK:
13 points - SueNZ

5 points - Mike Hawkins, Christo

Well, that's a turn up for the books.
Thanks Andrew

PS I never would have guessed the actual wine as I've never even heard of it before.

it is 3% Malbec. in the 2001 but that amount changes every year.
