Yes. About 2 weeks ago I booked a table for 14 for 7.30. I haven't seen anything more from Allan, so not sure if they are coming. I thought I would wait until a little closer to the date and then take a roll call, and would have responded to Tim that he might have to be a sub if we can't get the numbers down (though if it's a single and not a plus 1 that's easier). Luke has included you on the list Tim, so giddyup!!!

Frankly one part of me thinks 19 is too many to really taste each wine, but it's not my bat and ball (so I'm not taking it home). Rens has rounded up to 40ml and that's not allowing for spillage, ullage, sediment or samples taken when double decanting at home!

Or we can just not worry about it and if everyone doesn't get to taste every wine that's not the end of the world???........I was even reconsidering my +1. I must be nuts. Shall I see if the restaurant can accomodate a table for 19?

Michael

PS Safe travels Nick

Hi Michael

My guess is that the numbers will probably drop naturally to about 14 anyway (at least given our last couple of experiences) - what if you ask Brents for a room that will fit between 12 and 18 or 20 (that's about the size of the last room we were in although I found the long table less conducive to dialogue)? When I go to tastings I often only get an ounce or so anyway (around 30mls).

I'm sure we're going to have a good time no matter what.

Is that 1991 Centenary a 750 ml bottle or magnum? (still salivating - the 1991 Wynns Black Label was my WOTY last year)

cheers

Luke
