Running a bit late this month - I have somehow resisted Lafite by the case at 12,000GBP somehow . Nothing for me so far.

Re: Jul '11 - what's dented your bank balance this month?
4 x 2005 Wigan Lehmann riesling
2 x 2009 Timo Mayer Bloody Hill PN
2 x 2010 Timo Mayer Bloody Hill PN
3 x 2005 Lehmann Margaret reserve semillon
3 x 2008 Voyager Estate chardonnay
Wigans were bought at a rather blody enjoyable Lehmann dinner, where the standard 08 cabernet sauvignon showed exceptionally well. Need to pick a few of those up.
The VE 08 chardonnay is every bit as good as you may have read, will be a Top 5 of the year for me for sure, and at $30, you'd be hard pressed to see better value as well.

Re: Jul '11 - what's dented your bank balance this month?
Online retailer here having some stock clearances (including for an Aussie who's returning home & wanting to sell his Singapore collection)... some good prices (Grange '03 for S$399 & Bin 60A '04 for S$650, still avail last checked...)
So, I picked up some to complement what I currently have:
- 02 x Grosset Springvale 2009
- 03 x Majella 'Musician' 2009
- 01 x Majella Sparkling Shiraz
- 01 x Viking Grand Shiraz 2004
Keeps returning to that stock listing & dreaming of getting more... :S

A mixed half dozen of '08 Bell Hill:
3 x PN
2 x Chard
1 x Old Weka Pass PN
6 x Craggy Range Sophia '09 (having tasted the 'prestige' range twice, this is the clear pick for me -- though the Le Sol's also very smart, & I'll pick up a couple of those at some point)
And just a few more '10 Bordeaux:
3 x Dom de Chevalier
3 x Gloria
2 x Suduiraut
4 x Doisy Vedrines
for a grand total of 12 red / 10 750ml-equivalent sauternes from the '10 en primeur campaign.
Cheers

Hit the cheapies again,
18 x Yeringa Durif 2003
8 x Gloria Shiraz 2004 (an export label to China)
12 x Rochford Chardonnay 2008
12 x Rochford Sauv Blanc 2010 (which is so yummy this year that I'm sure it's a sin).
Gotta have something to protect the rest of the cellar and to put in the coq au vin (a seriously yummy winter food).

Hi jafa - I've not posted myself in ages - been out of the scene for what seems months, not buying anything at all. Hope to get back to buying and tasting a few bottles from hereon. Interesting to see you got some of the Kidnapper cliffs - is that in the same league as the CR and Te mata wine you bought? I don't know much about it, except its a dry river brand isn't it?
Cheers,
Mike

Yep. Rich American (Robertson ?) purchased Dry River and Te Awa, amalgamated them, and the Awa portion now Kidnapper Cliffs. Ant Mackenzie wine maker for both labels has something of a rep, and some of the pundits have been impressed with this Cab. Campbell, I think, somewhere in mid 90's. The swinger was attending the Waihehe Roadshow, and
Ant Mac was on one of the stands (forget which ) and a bottle of this was there also. Asked for and got a splash. Result; grabbed a couple of bottles for later study
