No!. I don't trust EBay.

I will only bid from reputable auction house where I can inspect the wine prior. I don't mind paying a few bucks more just to be sure.

Based on my experience, I estimated around 20-30% of the wines are dud in the auction houses, let alone ebay!

What I've seen on my few jaunts into Ebay is that the prices aren't even that great - so many people clamber in looking for a bargain that the prices for a lot of wines look stupidly high.

I prefer F2F auctions - at least you don't get a thousand people all around the country killing every bargain in the last five minutes.

My luck with auctions has been pretty good so far - out of fifty bottles, one oxidized and one a bit tired (both 91s bought late last year).
