I had no idea where to post this here?........
Lights out in Wonderland is a book about excess and decadence.
Written by booker prize winner DBC Pierre.
The reason for posting this is that one of the characters within the book is Roger Pike of Marius, and his wines.
The book was launched a few weeks back at the Melbourne writers festival.
Below is an interview with DBC (dirty but clean)
This was at 10am. Roger tells me they almost made it through the bottle.
Watch part 2 if you just want to hear the references to Marius and how it fits into the book, but part one sets up the whole book.
I've seen a short doco that DBC put together on the Aztecs and he is incredibly engaging.
Part 1. (25 min)

Part 2. (27 min)
At the 9 minute mark he reads about the Marius Wine and tells a story of Roger which is true.

Book Review: Includes Marius Wines (Lights out in Wonderland
Re: Book Review: Includes Marius Wines (Lights out in Wonder
Thanks for the note Dan
I'm an occasional reader (at best!), but I’m a big DBC fan.
Vernon God Little is one of the best books I’ll ever read, and had me in stiches laughing.
Bought Ludmillas Broken English on the strength of it, found it OK but not as funny or engaging.
Looking forward to reading Lights out in Wonderland.
Cheers

A fair bit of truth in that story Dan, but it was not a Maserati

It was a 911 wasn't it?
