Just couldn't resist these wines

2008 Yalumba Pewsey Vale Prima Riesling
This is a delicate Alsace style riesling, 9.5% alcohol, faintest trace of sweetness, fabulous drinking now, but has the legs to go 20years in the cellar.

2008 Running With Bulls Tempranillo
A rather lighter-than-usual Tempranillo, really lovely and savoury. Won some gold in the Royal Adelaide show, and taste-wise this is not surprising.

Cheers John

I have to disagree big time, i drink wine/wines daily (maybe 1 alcohol free day per week). That take a lot of disciplines!! :D

I've been pretty good this year with my resolve to buy less in an attempt to save for a holiday in June however I topped up on a few 07 Marg Rivers I'd bought late last year and a couple of bargains I couldn't resist.

6 * 07 Voyager estate Shiraz
6 * 06 Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon
2 * 09 Frogmore Creek FGR Riesling
9 * 09 Petaluma Riesling (There seems to have been a bit of a price war on this. I got them very cheap)
3 * 07 Ringbolt Cabernet Sauvignon
3 * 07 Evans & Tate Cabernet Merlot
4 * 07 Brookland Valley Verse 1 Cabernet Merlot
3 * 08? Brown Broters Dolcetto & Syrah (might have been 09 but they won't be cellared anyway)
2 * 09 Tahbilk Marsanne
Cheers,
Kris

It's not like any Alsatian Riesling I've had!

I like it Kris.

My NY resolution was also to buy less. I'm not sure if either of us are doing too well. I'm glad to know I'm in good company though...

Cheers,

Monghead.

6 x2008 Mike Press Adelaide Hills Cab Sauv/b]
6 x [b]2008 Mike Press Adelaide Hills Shiraz

I've had the 08 Shiraz before, but Mike reckons the 08 CS is a big wine so am looking forward to tucking in.

Was browsing around a bottle shop I've not been in before and found these:

1x 1999 Seppelt Dorrien Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
1x 1999 Lindemans Steven Vineyard Bin 9825 Shiraz

Well priced too. The Seppelt Dorrien was $45 and the Lindemans Steven was $30. Will try them and go back for more if good. They had a decent amount of both. Interesting bottle shop, they had a few older wines like this.

1x 06 Henschke Mt Edelstone to add to my small list. Damn the exchange rate though ended up quite expensive from Sydney Duty Free! I am a long term henschke fan though, I just hardly buy them anymore as they are damn expensive
