TN: 2007 Domaine la Barroche ‘Terroir’ Chateauneuf-decadent!

This is the Barroche base wine, FWIW.

I have to say that it is the smoothest, most voluptuous, delicious and drinkable 2007 Chateauneuf wine I’ve drunk so far. Spotless & full of vibrant dark summer berries; the cleanness of fruit exudes energy and a Chateauneuf we can all merrily slosh down. It has copious amounts of vitality & freshness once the heat dies down. Stunning, luxurious drinking now but very alcoholic! A wine that marries remarkable intensity & concentration with elegance & finesse.

But where do we go from here?
Where is the tannic bite, acidity, structure & other longevity elements? I’d like to say “who cares” as on current drinking this is hard to beat. Ten years down the line all the youthful vivacious will be lost so who’s to know how this will turn out. £21 off the shelf. 15%vol. A delicious 92pts & drink now.

PS I ment to say that this is the 'most satisfying' of 2007 Chateauneuf I've drunk to date. Most of the CdR's are above average, very drinkable off the bat & are of exceptional quality but in the equivalent vintage from CdP they often seems OTT with mega ripeness especially at such a young age. Who's to know how they will turn out!
