Barossa tasting - where to go!

Well, as per my other thread, the anniversary weekend is coming up in a couple of days (well, one and a half, really), and I wondered if people could suggest where not to miss in terms of tastings.

I currently have Rockfords and Seppeltsfield down on the list - any other suggestions?

Charles Melton, Yalumba, Henschke, Peter Lehmann-all are 'must do's' in terms of CD's open to the general public..Chateau Tanunda has the Barossa Small Winemakers Centre, you can see 25 in one stop!!

I'd add Langmeil, Greenock Greek (if they still have wine), Torbreck (used to open till 6, not sure these days), Grant Burge & Turkey Flat.

Hi Paul. Hope the visit goes well. Would love to have you at our house for a tasting but we wont be around.

I agree with Tim that Charles Melton, Yalumba, Henshke and Peter Lehmann are musts. I would toss in Burge Family Winemakers (lovely reds), Liebich at Rowlands Flat (superb fortifieds and gursy reds), Whistler and Turkey Flat.

Just came from a fantastic 10 day trip to Coonawarra/McLaren/AdelaideHills/Barossa.

My recomendations go to: Burge Family, Gibson, Greenock Creek, Rockford, Two Hands, Turkey Flat, St Hallet, Torbreck. They all have very good to outstanding wines and the staff is very very friendly.

If you want to be patronised and/or ignored, visit Kaesler (sic), Rolf Binder or Charles Melton.

Hi Nick,

I'm out and about but should be back in the Barossa around 3pm I reckon...happy to show you the wines then. Unfortunately Kym's gone bush and Mick is in Perth for the Artisans of the Barossa tasting so thats about the only time I can do it.

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. We ended up going to:

Charles Melton (Nice set up, but doesn't work with more than 6 people. There were 15 people there when we arrived)
Grennock Creek (Beautiful wines! Sorry we didn't get your message before we came, Dave, or we'd have alerted you as to who we were!)
Rockfords (Lovely people, lovely cellar door)
Rolf Binder (Beautiful wines as always, and actually lovely service!)
Turkey Flat (great service, beautiful wine, and even more beautiful grounds!)
Richmond Grove (Miss it - nothing to see here)
Peter Lehmann (Loved the grounds, wines were quite nice, and the lunch was superb)
Henschke (Great fun to see this cellar door, and the wines were, as one would expect, lovely to taste!)
Seppeltsfield (I am in love with the Para Grand.)
Yalumba: (A big cellar door, which I'm normally against, but done very well)
