An interesting contrast to the lush, pithy 07 Wittmann of a few days back, this is an 02 Steiny in exemplary shape, all dry and slatey with a hint of secondary development.
Particularly Australian.
This bottle does, however highlight a variability with this particular label and vintage as some previous bottles of my 02 stocks have been more yellowy and quite developed, curiously under screwcap. Perhaps location within the cellar!
This one exhibits only a touch of honey, with the main game being pure, driven lemon and lime cordial and an exemplary finish, very long and powerful. Superb.
Cheers

"It wasn't the wine," murmured Mr. Snodgrass, in a broken voice. "It was the salmon."
