The best looking bt. of OZ wine!!!

Post by MartinC »

Hi all,

Just received my wines fr Auswine. I was highly IMPRESSED by the packaging of the Trevor Jones Wild Witch 1999 , the best looking btl. of wine I've ever came across fr AU.
I know beauty is skin-deep but I'm a sucker for asthetic value.

B4 I uncorked, would like some thoughts on those who have tasted it?

Cheers,
MC

As a sentimental bloke can't go past the Rockford's Basket Press.

I have a few wines from the 50s with similar presentation.

The artwork chosen for the 1999 Leeuwin Estate Cab is fantastic.

For all over packaging, the Rckford Black Shiraz would have it for me.

A couple of quick ones before I head off to bed -

Howard Park cabernet - before and after label changes. Beautiful Labels, waxed paper, and a wooden case...

Primo Estate Joseph, the moda amarone and especially the sparkling red.

The Rockford label.

Tahbilk 1860s shiraz, and to a lesser extent the Penfolds St Henri

Trevor Jones wines are nicely packaged - love the gold

The Leeuwin Art Series Wines (also Mitchelton Print)

Stonyfell Metala black label (old plantings)

Turkey Flat

biaised because it was what was on the table tonight

giaconda chardonnay - that picture on the label, the text, the weight of the bottle, and the capsule, all fill me with a real sense that the wine is going to be special even before i open it
