Mike Press Shiraz 2007 vs Cab 2006

Post by rocknoise »

I can finally could breathe easy and say I was blessed with the Shiraz...
will need another night getting to know each other to attempt a tasting note worth its weight.
however, enjoying the Cab much more surprisingly!
I really wanted the shiraz to shine. Found more lingering tannins on the Cab.
You know when you get the $10 Shiraz and expect the table to fall in love - didn't quite happen!
Close but...! Very close.
Still both lovely and very happy

I'm glad I've held over a couple of the shiraz 07, a very enjoyable wine especially for the price. But, like you, I think I've enjoyed the cab 06 more.

Cheers

yea daz I just thought I'd post cos so many people loved the Shiraz and added that the Cab was nice as an afterthought. A lot nicer than just the afterthought drop I had imagined.
