Sheep's back shiraz - 2002

Post by craig loves shiraz »

Recently had the pleasure of this drop at a lunch but have been unable to locate it anywhere.

Could anyone help me out with a supplier and estimated cost (Drank in a restaurant)?

I'd also be interested to see if other people rate this wine (I do)? Feedback appreciated!
Why do people ruin perfectly good Shiraz by blending it with other varieties? Oh the humanity of it all......

I am sure CraigNZ will be familiar with it (although I am sure this comment will just be water off a sheep's back..) :)

I assume Gavin won't mind this referral, it's a specific request for a wine he doesn't stock and the retailer is hardly a close competitor.

BWS Aberfeldy in Hobart has this wine at $42.99.

I don't know how much they have and how well it has been stored and I don't know if they deliver interstate but if you really want it you might want to contact them.

I've been almost tempted to buy a bottle when they've had their 30% off sales but never actually taken the plunge.

Hi

I'm pretty open minded, but given the recent fuss here about this type of thing, perhaps use the easy PM system to send this information to someone rather than a post??

Like I said, no biggie to me but we wish to try to be consistent with members.

What do you think?

There are also things like www.wine-searcher.com that would easily locate this product and at a better price than that mentioned at the larger chain...

To be honest I tried two places. Here and another large online retailer based out of Melbourne. Neither had the wine available. Hence why I'm asking here.

I fully appreciate that this is a wine e-tailer site but seriously, if you guys can't supply it, I really don't see the harm in asking or in others helping.

No worries Gavin, I hadn't really read that other thread thoroughly but yes, it is best to be consistent.
