Source for Krug 1996

Post by ChrisV »

Hi,

Does anyone know where I might be able to source some 1996 vintage Krug within Australia (preferably Adelaide)? Gavin isn't carrying it and no wine store I've checked with has any either. I'd want at least one bottle (for an upcoming wedding) and maybe another to put away.

Hi all,

I wouldn't mind picking up a couple of bottles myself if someone could advise as to where to source this in Sydney.

Cheers,

monghead.

Good luck. Read that Moet Hennessy Australia is limiting supply and drawing it out over a few releases. 50 dozen for all of Australia in the first release. Some retailers only got 1 or 2 bottles (apparently VC NSW got only 5 bottles for all their stores). Would be lucky to get it under $400 ... if you can find any!

I heard that a Dan Murphy's Store in Brisbane got 18 bottles. I saw one in the glass cabinet, with all the other treasures, for $370 in any 6 purchase. Wished I could afford it.

Yes, we had 3 x 6 packs and will get some more in the near future. We have to take 95 Krug to get the 96 vintage.
