Not quite a drinking or eating spot, but perhaps check out the Kirra Beach Hotel bottle shop - they have had some eclectic stuff in there in days gone by. Storage isnt brilliant but if you're willing to take a chance, could be some surprises.

I've been burnt at Kirra recently with their appaling new storage practices.

Use to be a great source of aged but overpriced wine.

Bit of a trip but Champagne Brasserie at Broadbeach has done well for me over the last few years - good quality, traditional French Brasserie food and a quality wine list.

Cheers Mark

Gregoire,

You'll struggle at Tugun. I can recommend a 5 minute drive up to Oskars in Burleigh though, great setting and good food.

Something worth trying one night would be the Currumbin Surf Club. Again, a great setting out on the rocks and good bistro food. Walking distance from Tugun central.

For a big night ($$$) try Absynthe in Surfers. Its the new wow factor place on the coast, has an ex-michelin starred chef on the burners and an awesome wine list, although the prices will make your eyes water.

Otherwise, Fellini at Main Beach, or the reliable Champagne Brasserie always give a good experience.

All the best

Have recently tried an Italian @ Tugun called Lunar Rossa.
Not 5* but acceptable food & BYO. Give it a go, saves having to get caught up in the Surfers scene with parking etc.!
Cheers
