Looks pretty right... except you keep calling Bradley Brendan!

Let's start getting some firm ideas of what people are actually taking too - maybe adding these items to the list may be a good idea.

I'm bringing a magnum of old Cabernet (ideally Bordeaux if it scrubs up), and a 1972 Vintage Port. Depending on what other people are bringing I'll also take a white of some description or an option bottle for a bit of fun.

Cheers,
Ian

You got a problem with that, Ewan?!

Sorry Bradley, I blame it on excessive practice for the offline.

I'm bringing a 93 Guigal Brune et Blonde, something more recent (red, probably McLaren shiraz) and/or a reisling (haven't looked at what I have available yet)

Cheers,

Mark

By the way, any news yet on whether Chas is going to make this one Gavin?

I did say that I would like to come but I guess I just didn't make the grade. Looks like I'll keep my 45' Lafite all to my self.

No offence tex, but I wasn't sure what to make of your previous post - whether you were half serious about going or just taking the piss (honestly I'm not sure on this one either). :?

If you really want to go you're welcome, just bring something better than 'a bottle of sacred hill' okay?

Time for a new updated list with what people have indicated they're taking to date:

Mark (Rudy) (+1) - Rockford Sparkling Black Shiraz (2003 disg')
Jamie Bahrain - 90s Jasper Hill Emily's Paddock, Red Edge Shiraz
Gavin (our host) - '01 or '02 LEAS Chardonnay
Steve - 'some chinese stuff' & something else
Nayan - '04 Agly Brothers Carignan blend
John #11 & Sue - '91 Pyrus, '99 Orlando Lawsons, '05 Lillydale Estate Chardonnay
n4sir - aged Bordeaux or other red magnum, '72 Metala VP, token white/mystery option
markg -
Jordan - '02 Charles Melton Shiraz, Petaluma Riesling, maybe a Germanic/Alsace riesling
silkwood - '93 Guigal Brune et Blonde, recent MV Shiraz or Riesling
ck -
David & Pam -
Lagare Lout (+1) - Croser Millenium Sparkling Shiraz magnum
tex0403 - serious cru beaujolais, austrian GV, muscat baumes de venise
JDSJDS - Chateauneuf and an Italian supertuscan

Cheers,
Ian

sorry n4sir was serious about coming no 45 lafite though. Will save that for later. Thinking about bringing serious cru beaujolais, austrian GV and a muscat baumes de venise, but thoughts could change. I'm happy to bring something else.

The day of this offline is "Red Nose Day"

I'm sure most of us will have a red nose by the end of the tastings....

Gents

I will bring a couple of Victorians to the table. :)

A Jasper Hill Emily's Paddock from last decade and a Red Edge shiraz to see how it's going.

I'm dropping off Rudy's 2003 disgorgement Rockford Black Shiraz to Gavin this morning on my way to the Great Shiraz Challenge.

Gavin, your responsibility to have it chilled for the offline.

Looks a great lineup of diners and wines, sorry I can't be with you - yet again! I'll get to one eventually.
Cheers - Steve

OK, I'm in town now, and I'm keen to attend this Friday. I grabbed a couple of wines from my cellar literally 5 minutes before I left for OZ, and I grabbed a Chateauneuf and an Italian supertuscan.

See you Friday! Unfortunately I am leaving for Sydney early the next morning, so I may not make it until the bitter end, depending on whatever level of debauchery is normal for an Adelaide offline...

These things tend to run pretty late, and if you make it that's enough for me - coming all the way from Canada and making the effort to cram this in on your trip sounds pretty impressive to me, regardless of what you bring along. I hope to see you there, and hopefully you're recovered enough from the jetlag to truly enjoy it! 8)

Cheers,
Ian

Thanks Steve, much appreciated 8)

After trying a '91 and '00 over the lats few days I'm interested in how the '03 is looking :D

I'm off to a houseboat on the Murray until Friday, so won't have a chance to check the site before then. John & I are looking forward to a most enjoyable evening.

Cheers Mark

With less than a week to go it's time we heard some more suggestions of what people are taking, especially in the whites area which is looking a little neglected at the moment.

Cheers,

OK

This is looking like a great evening. I thought a Shaw and Smith 05 Chardonay and a Mallea 01 might complement the food and other wines being brought. regards Chris

I'll be taking the Chinese stuff and a bottle of 02 Jeanneret Denis.

If I get a chance to escape the office (I'm flat out at the moment, which sucks when you work from home!) I'll pick up an interesting white. My cellar has too much red in it to raid the whites...

Maybe Nayan should bring along his Indian Sauvignon Blanc as an interesting comparison to your Chinese stuff? 8)

I've also got some cheap Turkish stuff that will not be making an appearance. I'm too scared to open the bottle!
