1995 Tin Adams 'Aberfeldy'

I spotted a few bottles of the 1995 Tim Adam's 'the Aberfeldy' Shiraz at a bottle shop selling for $36 (in a dozen). It seems like a reasonable price. Has anyone had this wine, and do you think it worth getting both the remaining bottles?

PS: How about the 2000 Charles Cimiky 'Signature' Shiraz for $38?

The 95 Aberfeldy is a little beauty and drinking really well now. Provided it has been well stored, I would grab it. Price is great too.

Re the 2000 Signature, not a good year, best avoided.

The 2000 Charles Cimicky Shiraz isn't their one of the best vintages, this is probably ex-Heritage investment stock and the price is far too high for that vintage. Stick with the Aberfeldy or something else, there are a heap of wines in the mid-high $30's that would be much better than the Cimicky 2000.

Hi Mahmoud,

I scored a 6 pack of this on the last Langton's Auction for $24/bottle. Cracked the first on Sunday evening and it was terrific. Moving along towards maturity and I won't be keeping it for ever but if you like a rich mature shiraz it is good gear lovely cedar cigar box nose with a rich long palate to go with it.

Drank one of these a few months ago, for such a difficult vintage, we found it to be a great wine and enjoyed it immensely. I would say buy and drink! I still have one to enjoy and it won't last long!
