Mexican Food

What wine do you take to a Mexican BYO?

Or is the answer beer?

MY preference would be beer. However, if forced to choose wine, I would go with a riesling or a rose.
Cheers!

I'd also go Rose.

Mexican food is young Grenache territory for me: the typical minty/pepper and high alcohol/sweetness of many of the wines are an excellent match for the spicy chilli, big flavours and/or fresh salad aspects of your usual Mexican fare.

Look for something not too heavy, and a little on the sweet/spicy side and it will work well.

Cheers,
Ian
