TN wanted: D'Arenberg Dead Arm 1993
TN wanted: D'Arenberg Dead Arm 1993
Anyone tried this wine before?? Someone told me that it's now a collector item. Is it true??

and you know what? I'm not that 'Mr.Salmon'.....
I ask this because I couldn't find any review of this wine, neither on JO wine annual nor any internet site. And also as platinum said, Langton had it sold at $150-200 this year.
is this anything suspicious????

Sieben,
It's nothing personal, just a sense of history repeating. Take a look here:

Almost never seen, a bottle in good condition would probably be worth hundreds.
To be honest I haven't paid much attention to the early releases of Dead Arm, but did see 750ml a bottle of the 1993 Shiraz Cabernet blend mentioned above at Langtons last month (specifically advertised as a rare/trial wine) and was surprised what it went for.
If I was going to buy a bottle of Dead Arm to drink 1993 wouldn't come to mind at all, but I'm guessing whoever paid that much for it isn't so fussy about the contents.
