Friday Quiz or rather, quid fiz ray, and more...

Post by Quizmasters Apprentice »

This morning’s quiz is in another word play, the last of the series, listed below are anagrams for four well known Australian wineries. What are they?

1. Thug Oh No
2. Crud kick led we
3. Robbers thrown
4. Grape Step Newsletter

The quiz is early today as Quizmaster has popped in to pick up the towel and sunscreen and prepare for the next ‘conference’. As part of this preparation I have to wax his back and, er... other parts, this morning which he has thoughtfully scheduled right it on quiz time so he doesn't cut into Martini Time.

Enjoy

Well done Gwyn, completely correct.

For the late risers, here's some more:

Granulating on him
Sows Doom
Hens? Heck!
Him lasagne
Hells vine
Droll Alchemists

I obviously like the last one, but the second last one has a touch of panache as well.

Granulating on him

Well done your highness, indeed a princely effort.

For those who missed the Hells vine - Sevenhill thing. Sevenhill wine is made under the direction of the Jesuitical Manresa Society with Brother John May at the helm.

I wonder how many conspiracy theorists are going to read just a little too much into this anagram.

The Anagrams were generated by the Anagram Finder, a freeware programs developed by John Walker (of AutoCad fame) and available on his site http://www.fourmilab.ch. Take a look in 'New and Improved'. It runs from the command line in a DOS window. Be warned, it generates thousand of anagrams from just a couple of words.

Also worth noted on the site is Homeplanet, a very impressive astronomy / space / satellite-tracking package, just the thing next to the Telescope in the tower.

Which I'm getting back to now.....

... it needs cleaning again.
