My best vintages are considered to be 1998, 1999 & 2001
I am produced using the Appassimento method
The vineyard I am produced from was purchased in 1918
My wine style is the 4th best seller in my country

Could be a Henshke but I'm guessing not.
Not a Tyrrells nothing sends that long in wood.
That leaves Best's Great Western or Tahbilk.

I'll guess Best's Thompson Family Shiraz

2 years in french allier oak plus indigenous grapes sounds like it must be an italian super tuscan, or some sthn italy IGT

barolo's are usually in slavian oak though some "new wave" do use small french oak

Not sure on my Italian families, but I thought Masi was family owned still, so I reckon it's a good guess. Quintarelli and Allegrini (is La Poja an Amarone sold as IGT?) are also possibilities.
Not sure about the vintages though as Amarone in 97 and 2000 is reckoned (as I understand it) to be better than the 3 vintages mentioned. Not impressed with the 98's I've tried, especially the Tedeschi

I'll plump for Masi Costasera, but something makes me think they might have been selling commercially for longer. (edit) also 8000 bottles a year sounds too low

A final off the wall guess, if the style comment refers to the appassimento, then Sfursat Valtellina "5 stelle" might be possible (I know it uses barriques)

Well done on getting onto the Italian theme so quickly. The answer was Tedeschi Capitel Monte Olmi Amarone with Jay getting there first.
