Global Warming - Fact or Fiction

Afterall, it makes sense that the first to experience it would be the wine growing regions that are already very warm.

Prolly a great thing for Bordeaux for the next decade, then not so good after that. It would also explain burgundy's amazing run this millenium, but again, not so good for the long term.

I'm still sceptical as to the "certainty" of man-made global warming. IMO, the jury is still very much out on this, and the recent weather patterns may indeed be part of nature's cycle.

The immediate weather is great for the average Francophile, esp. in Burgundy, so stock up while the going is good!!! 2005 looks to be sensational in all French wine-growing areas............yum!!

If true, Martinborough and the Wairarapa is set to be the next Burgundy in twenty years time. Neil McCullum of Dry River and Clive Paton of Ata Rangi are both very much subscribers to the global warming viewpoint.
