I've been on a buying freeze for sometime now (about 12 months), but have broken the drought with 3 x Te Mata Estate Coleraine 2020. When Gary Walsh on the Wine Front uses the phrase 'Easily one of the best wines I’ve tasted in the last decade.' You take notice, google that shit and open your wallet.

Yes, will be getting a couple.

We should crack one soon to see what the fuss is about.

Nice pick up on the Lindies, fabulous old wines. I am working my way through some 96-98 St George , LR and Pyrus. Deep rich, with some still exhibiting primary characteristics...corks willing of course!

Langtons/Woolworths clearing out old TWE Museum stock of Metala (white label LC Shiraz Cabernet) , now that they no longer own it, 1968s through to current releases, all around $30 or less a bottle. Some Original Plantings (black label LC, Shiraz) on offer too.

3 x 1983 Metala
3 x 1985 Metala
1 x 2001 Original Plantings double magnum

Cheers Craig

1 x 1998 Metala
2 x 1971 Metala
3 x 1986 Metala
1 x 1971 Metala VP
1 x 1972 Metala VP

Didn't realise Langton's added on GST to the list pricing.

The two VP's look interesting, don't think I've seen any of these before.

I got these from MW Wines.

Are your interested in selling your set

1 x 2020 Te Mata Coleraine Cabernet Merlot
5 x 2018 Terre a Terre Crayères Cabernet Franc Shiraz

Had hoped to get three of each after getting an email from the Ed that they had stock. Unfortunately my solitary bottle of the Coleraine was their last in stock!

Welcome VinoEd and it's great to see the 2001 Bests Bin 0 there. It should be very good now, but with no need to rush to drink it.

Thanks Ian - I couldn’t resist and opened one.

It was in great condition, musty mushroom nose that blew off, plenty of fruit still that came in after some air, and that old library feel I get from reds of this age. I throughly enjoyed it. You’re right that there is absolutely no rush and if I have the patience can probably wait to try again at the 25 year mark.

Cheers Ed

We had relations visiting us this weekend and took the opportunity to take them to Crittenden Estate. Was planning to pick up a few bottles of their Crei de Coer Savignin, but it we sold out and so I took home 3 bottles of the 2nd release of their Macvin. It’s got a great Jura style nose, with saline and walnut, but the mid palate is a bit simpler than expected. Reminded me of an older Tawny.
This is my church, this is where I heal my hurts.

Hi Ed
Superb, and I almost suggested cracking one soon, in case you fancied heading back to the source for more. You were already there!
