i Have a magnum of the above wine and was considering opening it for xmas any advise (weither to keep it and open something else / decanting times)?

Sorry its a 1999 vintage i was either going to open that or a 1994 Tatachilla Foundation or a 1998 Wynns John Riddoch

Tata Foundation is a better bet :wink:

Derek, I'd go the 94 Foundation which is at its peak and drinking well now.

Far to soon for the 98 John Riddoch and although I haven't had the RSW, 1999 was a good vintage in McLaren Vale and the magnum will make it slower to reach a peak.

Nice and cold your way no doubt so enjoy those Aussie reds and be careful how you sleep......wouldn't want to get a dead arm now would you?
