The Two Hands on Saturday night and the Elderton tonight.
Two very excellent wines, indeed. The Two Hands is more immediately accessible, knocking back the nose and palate from the get-go. The Elderton was more reticent - taking about an hour to open up to reveal its beauty.
Both are warm, ripe and round. Voluptuous is a fair word. The Elderton has more noticeable sweet oak, but it is far from overpowering. The Elderton also seems to have more structure to it, so we'll drink up the Angel's Share and let the Elderton sleep for a few years.
Well done!
G'day.
