Was beginning to wonder where Michael had gotten to.

So from the above it looks like the 21st of June is locked in as the date.
The attendees will be
Ian ?+1
Michael ?+1
Caesar ?+1
?Craig
myself and Kellee
Theme is east v west.
Venue To be confirmed. Likely inner west (Brent's, Sprout, ?Deer Duck?) as suitable for the majority.

So if we could firm up the venue and the +1's by the end of the week, then I am happy to organise the booking.
FWIW I'd like to do sprout again, even though Ian is probably right about the glasses-the food was real nice.
Oh, let us know what wines you want to bring....

I'd like to come to an offline at some stage, but I don't think I can make the 21st or the 14th for that matter.

Sprout looks good, looks like Brents is no longer... Two bottles sounds like a plan!

Be great to catch up again mate!

Rens,

Sprout is fine by me.

Not sure about Janine yet, have to see about a babysitter!

I'll bring a WA Cab if we are a bit short of them (although it won't be that old, probably 07 or 08), or whatever is needed to round out the list.

Cheers
Ian

Sprout seems to be the go. You happy to do the booking Rens?

If we stick to straight Cabernet my most interesting options in the East are:
1983 Wolf Blass Grey Label (though may be just a tooth pick by now)
1994 Wirra Wirra Angelus
2004 Majella
2007 Warrabilla
In the West:
2007 Eagle Vale Whispering Lake

If we include Cab Merlot my options in the East include:
Wild Duck Creek Estate the Blend (back to 2005)
1999 Balnaves Cab Merlot
In the West:
2008 Wine By Brad Cab Merlot

I would probably prefer to bring two reds as my Riesling selection is embarassingly small.....

If we make the booking for 7.30 maybe we can entice GrahamB to join us after work???

Cheers

Michael

PS Just me at the moment as Tony is away and Yasmin isn't sure yet.

Booked flights. Sprout would be awesome. Unfortunately Lindsay stuck at work all weekend in Canberra but I will bring a +1 who came a few years back.
Not sure what wines to bring yet. I have a 2010 Moss Wood Cabernet that is a bit young but drinking well and perhaps an 04 Rockford Cab.

OK. Booked for 8 people at 7:30. Will confirm numbers the week before.
Michael, I think Bordeaux blends are fine.
Now that I've made that statement. Put me down for two of those: a (West) 2007 Fraser Gallop Cabernet and a (East) 2005 John Forrest Collection Cabernet.

I've booked a hotel so I'm a definite. Janine can't make it as we can't get a babysitter, but I'll bring a mate along instead.

As for wines, I'll bring a 2006 Noon Reserve Cabernet for the east and a 2007 Forest Hill Cabernet for the West. I have a reasonable choice for the east, but don't have that many "Westies" to be honest! I'll try and find a Riesling as well, although I don't have that many aged examples.

Looking forward to another great night.

Cheers

Howard park Cabernet Merlot for me - hopefully 95 if I can get back to Adelaide before the event - if not it will be a redman magnum. And a wa chardy. And it will be just me.

Hi Guys,

I'd be keen for this if there is still a spot - it would just be me.

OK, we're less than a week out. Could everyone just confirm themselves, wines and plus 1's. Any new entrants that may wish to be part of the action?

I'm in. No +1

Given the younger wines coming I will bring the 2004 Majella (and the 1994 The Angelus as it needs to be tested!).

Cheers

I'm in maybe +1. Probably a redman 03 Cabernet magnum + a white from the west. If I get back to as before then it will be a 95 Howard park or jack Mann but it looks like the trip will not happen to the week after.

I could bring a Marchand and burch Pinot but I know how much everyone loves pinots.
